The business
QED Vault is a product-authentication platform. It authenticates products and turns every token movement into real-time data, a detailed view of a product's journey, so the data becomes a strategic asset rather than a by-product.
The problem
QED Vault came to Picante on QCSTech's referral, with a written script and nothing else. The product lives in tokens and journeys rather than screens, and the film had to explain authentication and data provenance in one sitting, clearly enough to pitch with.
The idea
Treat the journey as the set: the product's path from release into the world, through the channels it travels, rendered as motion in the client's palette. Dark circuit-world beats for the token layer, clean light beats for the human moments.
How it was made
It started with a long meeting to understand exactly what the team needed the film to do. Then the script was rewritten: shorter, punchier, in the rhythm of a SaaS film.
From that meeting and the client's visual references, Picante built a full draft with the voice-over in place. One feedback meeting on the draft, one revision to the client's notes, then sound effects and music, and delivery of the finished film.
Outcome
The film now does the explaining. QED Vault uses it to show what the product is and to pitch it to its own clients.
Frames
Stills pulled straight from the film.
